The IMPROVE Scheme

The IMPROVE test set is a special design for technologists and advanced practitioner radiographers who undergo breast screening training.   

It is administered via several of the UK breast screening training centres and employs a number of difficult screening cases together with a computerised reporting system.

As individuals undergo training, the centre asks them to examine the IMPROVE test set both early in their training and towards the end of their training.  

Differences in performance between the first and second occasion help to give insight into aspects of participants' improved skills as they have progressed.
